Existing Website Evaluation
The Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort in Neuvo Vallarta, Mexico is a 5-diamond luxury hotel that needed to give their website and web presence rejuvenation. Their old independent website was tired – it needed a fresh design with a call to action. There property is absolutely gorgeous, but no one was finding out about this hotel because the site was not search engine friendly.  It did not position well for relevant search terms on search engines results. It did not have customer-focused content and unique selling points.  Their old site got a very low number of visitors to the site each day, far too low for what you would expect for a property of this class and luxury.

Milestone’s Strategy

Milestone created a new website for Grand Velas to reflect the resort’s luxurious, relaxing, and beautiful atmosphere.  The resort’s website needed to target their key market, which is primarily leisure vacationers, honeymooners, spa travelers, destination wedding guests, and corporate travelers. The Milestone Team optimized their site for these specific niche markets by creating keyword rich content throughout the structure of the site that would draw in the most relevant traffic to the site. When a traveler is out there looking on search engines for a luxurious Mexico spa package, for example, they need to see Grand Velas’ name as one of the search results.  Milestone helped the resort by creating a site that is optimized for their key market.

The Grand Results

• Visitors to the site increased from 211 a day to 1367 a day. And that’s only within the first 3 days of the site going live!
• The resort is selling their Milestone-created online packages – the packages are not only bringing in traffic but offering their key market a great incentive to book with them rather than their competitors.
• In the first 3 days of going live, the site generated 427 people to go to the booking engine and search for reservations.
• The resort is the first hotel website in organic search results on Google for very important keywords, such as “Nuevo Vallarta hotel package” and “Nuevo Vallarta hotel”. 
• Their new site is generating a significant amount of phone calls from potential guests.
