Case Study- Gaia Hotel Napa Valley

Hotel’s Challenge
The Gaia Hotel in Napa Valley is a resort-style property located in a highly competitive destination market.    This new property was built using environmentally friendly practices and is the first hotel in the world to receive LEED gold certification.  However, their website did little to showcase the property and was not generating much revenue for the hotel.
                                                              

Existing Website Evaluation
The existing website for the property was put together just prior to the hotel opening.  While there was information regarding the eco-friendly practices the hotel used, the site just didn’t reflect the look and feel of the property.  The site was not optimized and could not be found unless searching for the property by name.

Milestone Strategy
Milestone’s research discovered many niche markets that the hotel could be promoted for, then carefully planned the site to capitalize on those markets.  The site was redesigned to reflect the environmentally friendly practices of the hotel and structured using techniques to increase conversion. The new site was then promoted using a balanced strategy of organic search engine optimization and pay-per-click.
